Ex-Google DeepMind are building Superintelligence!
The TLDR
Former Google DeepMind scientists launch ReflectionAI, aiming to develop superintelligent systems that autonomously create software. Their approach focuses on automating repetitive development tasks, potentially achieving advanced AI capabilities before 2027.
Former DeepMind scientists are launching an ambitious project: with their new start-up “ReflectionAI”, they are pursuing the goal of directly developing an artificial superintelligence - in other words, an AI that far surpasses human capabilities!
In contrast to previous approaches, which mostly focus on AGI, ReflectionAI concentrates on autonomous AI systems that can develop and program software independently. The initial focus is on the complete automation of monotonous, repetitive tasks in software development such as database migration or code refactoring. This should significantly accelerate the breakthrough to superintelligence. As former renowned Google DeepMind scientists, they certainly have the expertise. In addition to internal Google information, they have also worked on important papers.
More and more experts are now assuming that real ASI could become a reality before 2027 - Anthropic even explicitly names this year as the turning point. It is exciting to see how AI research as a whole is currently moving towards more radical and ambitious goals. The race for the future of technology is in full swing - we can't wait to see what comes of it!
