Meta Is Back With A Loud Bang: Llama 4 Shocks Everyone!
The TLDR
Meta unveils Llama 4 family with Scout, Maverick, and Behemoth models featuring multimodal capabilities and Mixture-of-Experts architecture. The flagship Behemoth contains nearly 2 trillion parameters outperforming major competitors. All models feature 10-million token context windows.
Meta unveils a significant leap in AI development with the Llama 4 family! The new generation includes three impressive models, all with native multimodal capabilities and Mixture-of-Experts architecture.
Llama 4 Scout (17 billion active parameters, 16 experts) revolutionizes document processing with its enormous 10 million token context window and offers superior performance for its size class. Llama 4 Maverick (17 billion active parameters, 128 experts) outperforms GPT-4o and Gemini 2.0 Flash in numerous benchmarks with an excellent price-performance ratio.
The absolute highlight, however, is Llama 4 Behemoth - a colossal model with 288 billion active parameters, 16 experts and a total of almost 2 trillion parameters. This flagship model, which is still in the training phase, already outperforms GPT-4.5, Claude Sonnet 3.7 and Gemini 2.0 Pro in STEM benchmarks and serves as a “teacher” for the smaller models through innovative codistillation.
Meta also significantly improved the political balance – the rate of non-respondents fell from 7% to under 2%. Scout and Maverick are already available for download, while the impressive Behemoth model is to follow in the near future.
An outstanding price-to-performance ratio, outstanding huge context-window (10m) and state-of-the-art evals: meta is back!

Will the new global tariffs have an impact on the speed of AI development? |
You’ve heard the hype. It’s time for results.
After two years of siloed experiments, proofs of concept that fail to scale, and disappointing ROI, most enterprises are stuck. AI isn't transforming their organizations — it’s adding complexity, friction, and frustration.
But Writer customers are seeing positive impact across their companies. Our end-to-end approach is delivering adoption and ROI at scale. Now, we’re applying that same platform and technology to build agentic AI that actually works for every enterprise.
This isn’t just another hype train that overpromises and underdelivers. It’s the AI you’ve been waiting for — and it’s going to change the way enterprises operate. Be among the first to see end-to-end agentic AI in action. Join us for a live product release on April 10 at 2pm ET (11am PT).

Meta Is Back With A Loud Bang: Llama 4 Shocks Everyone!
The sweeping tariffs recently introduced by the US are having a significant impact on the fields of artificial intelligence and finance, as they increase costs for technology companies and disrupt global supply chains.
Increased production costs for technology companies: Companies such as Apple, which rely heavily on manufacturing in China, face tariffs of up to 54%, significantly increasing production costs.
Impact on the AI industry: Tariffs on semiconductor imports could increase the cost of AI servers and infrastructure, making the development and implementation of AI technologies more expensive.
Negative reaction from financial markets: The announcement of tariffs led to significant losses in equity markets, particularly in the technology sector, indicating concerns about rising costs and potential trade wars.
Threat to global supply chains: Tariffs could force companies to reorganize their supply chains, leading to disruption in the short term and higher operating costs in the long term.
Social impact: Rising prices for technology products could slow the diffusion of AI technologies and limit their accessibility, which could affect technological development and competitiveness.
These developments mark a turning point in global trade policy and could have a long-term impact on technological innovation and economic stability.
